Going Crazy, Starting Fresh
Recently I got married, and now my husband and I are moving to South America; specifically Peru. Everything is happening very quickly. Currently I am going through every single item I own (do I really need this sock?), which is both frightening and cleansing at the same time. Minimalism has always seemed appealing, but this is a type I never pictured!
How do you adequately prepare for an extraordinarily new life and still say a quality goodbye to the old one? I have no idea, so let me know if you have it figured out. A friend of mine who recently moved encouraged me to say "good goodbyes" to all the friends and family I am leaving. This has been a helpful reminder to try balancing the insanity of packing and sorting with stopping for a cup of coffee with a loved one before we part.
My intention in this blog is to appreciate and share my new life, which will hopefully also be a sort of diary to help remember all the things I will inevitably learn. Praise God for what He is doing, and will continue to do!
The next post will share why I am moving to Peru!
